Who we are
We started back in 2021 with one goal.
To write modern day stories, using the Bible all to help people get closer to Jesus.
This means plays, films, concerts, episodic's and now concerts.

ABOUT The Founder
Akeil Davis
God is the one who founded this company and He allows me to lead it. But that might be a little too churchy for some of our new friends so... I'll cautiously accept "Founder".
Now that we've cleared that up, why did I start A Kingdom Company? - I didn't want to actually.

(What?! How can he say that?) I live my life as an honest testimony for encouragement; because I believe God will call you to begin something too big for you, which may also have no interest in doing and this will help). I didn't want to create A Kingdom Company, but I was willing to be obedient to God, and that's all He needed.

I was stubborn, but ultimately in faith, I said " God, I trust you". 2019 made a year and a few months since i'd gotten my bachelors degree in Theatre Arts. I was living the NYC actor's life, auditioning for this TV show, in callbacks for another, doing a play here, taking classes there, (the normal actor's route). A woman from my church asked me to help with writing a Christmas play. I was happy to do so; I'd attempted to produce a play a two years before and failed, (which was fine because it planted the seed of persistence for the years to come). So I wrote the play Christmas at Grammas.

It was a success, not because it made plenty of money or received millions of reviews. But Because it connected four generations of believers and non-believers alike, in one room to hear about a God who loved His people so much, that he sent His son here to live and die just to have a relationship with us.
​
That's what church is supposed to feel like, we should feel relaxed enough to see all facets of humanity in Christ and one another, this is what draws us nearer to Christ. And if A Kingdom Company can help you see that on a stage or screen, then we've done our job right. The goal is to get you closer to having a relationship with Jesus. We use His word in modern day stories to help you see His relevance and presence as it is.
